Porcelain Veneers – No Wonder They Have Been Called “Instant Orthodontics!”

Porcelain Veneers or Instant Orthodontics?

Color is good but not the alignment!

A natural looking, beautiful smile achieved with porcelain veneers!

Carla was concerned about her crooked anterior teeth and wanted to see what could be done to improve her smile.  We discussed the options and advantages/disadvantages of orthodontics and porcelain veneers or some combination of these two. Braces were an option to improve the alignment, but she did not want to do this.  Even if the teeth were aligned well there would still be problems of tooth wear, tooth chipping and less than beautiful tooth anatomy. Porcelain veneers can correct these issues as well as improve a smile in as little as two dental visits.  No wonder porcelain veneers have been considered ‘instant orthodontics’ – because the teeth may look like the patient has completed years of orthodontic treatment!

Our office completed study models for Carla to preview what could be done with porcelain veneers.  She chose this plan and has been happy with this choice for years!  Please call us if you have questions about porcelain veneers or other dental treatment questions.
