All 32 Teeth – All Healthy!

All 32 Teeth – All Healthy!
Additionally, premolars, or the medium sized back teeth, are often extracted as part of orthodontic treatment to provide space for alignment of the remaining teeth. This used to be done more frequently in the past. Extractions made straightening the teeth easier for the orthodontist but we now know that the non judicious loss to teeth may create aesthetic problems with a person’s profile (and I’m not talking about their Facebook page!) Premolar extraction is a good treatment decision when done in the correct circumstance. Ask your dentist or orthodontist for more information!
But, back to our patient here with 32 healthy teeth! Note healthy gum tissue, excellent oral hygiene, a wide band of pink attached tissue surrounds every tooth. This patient will most likely keep all of these gorgeous teeth for a lifetime and could, with proper care, proper diet, and a little luck, look this good into their 90’s and beyond!
It is a pleasure treating all types of patients, with all types of dentitions! I just wanted to share these healthy images as we often discuss problems!
