One fairly easy as well as inexpensive therapy has proven to very effective for patients who are prone to extensive decay. Your dentist or a dental laboratory can prepare custom fluoride trays that fit the teeth and extend slightly onto the tissue. The patient is instructed to wear the fluoride tray loaded with Prevident 5000 for 5 minutes after breakfast and 5 minutes before bed. This regimen has the added benefit of reducing tooth sensitivity!
Clear fluoride trays are custom made to feel comfortable and help the fluoride stay close to the teeth for the recommended time.

The fluoride trays and made from a soft plastic that is pressure formed against a model of the patient’s teeth.
