One of our patients, Gabriele Mayer-Hunke, is a big supporter in fundraising efforts for The American Cancer Society. Gabriele has a personal interest in the continued efforts at finding a cure for cancer after her serious brush with ovarian cancer. She was at our office recently with necklaces/scarfs that she personally made from strips of T-shirts that she grouped together in a design that she found on the internet. She is selling the T-shirt scarfs and donating the proceeds to The American Cancer Society.
